Chesterfield Town Centre

The Market hall has been refurbished and there are some good food suppliers there.  Fresh fish and fresh and frozen shell fish and other items can be bought at a good price.

There are good vegetable stalls one on the edge of the Market Hall itself and open air stalls on the main market. Supplying good priced fresh vegetables and fruit in season.

There are farmers markets every month, information from the Tourist Information Centre on 345777/8

Jacksons bakery on Low Pavement is wonderful for bread and pastries and cakes, it featured on the Hairy Bikers in 2010. They do lots of traditionally baked breads; supply a good trade in hot and cold take away pies and sandwiches.

There is a good Co-op food store on Elder Way. M&S is on the main market square.

Chatsworth Farm Shop on the Chatsworth Estate in Pilsley, follow signs to Baslow and then to Chatsworth and turn off to the farm shop. More like a mini supermarket farm shop, supplying local meats and other produce, not cheap.
